La Amistad Group
In this Group: Graciela, Agustina, Maria Liz, Daniela, Lucina, Mercedes Antonia, Claudelina, Florinda, Liz Marizza, Vicenta Soledad, Francisca
The "Comite Amistad" is from Chaco and they are in their first cycle of loans and want to advance themselves in this program by getting to know each other better and helping each other through everyone's hard work. They are very hardworking and enthusiastic women.

One example in this struggle is Graciela, the president of the group, who works from the very early morning selling charcoal, which is doing very well because many people use charcoal, since it's a lot cheaper than propane. She is helping her family to get ahead and she feels satisfied by what she has done, but wants to continue growing her business. She is asking for this loan to buy more charcoal and have it in stock so that she doesn't run out and fail to deliver what her customers need.

Está sacando adelante a su familia y está contenta con lo que hace, pero quiere seguir creciendo. Pide este préstamo para poder comprar más carbón y tener en stock, para que no le falte para cumplir con sus clientes.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
