Mercedes Irene
Mercedes is 55 years old. She is single. She did not have the opportunity to marry because she was taking care of her mother. She has a daughter who is now an adult and who is also a single mother. Her daughter moved to Argentina for economic reasons and left her daughter in her care. Mercedes earns a living making jumpers and skirts. She has 4 sewing machines, working at home until the late hours of the night in order to deliver her orders on time. She learned her skill because she had previously worked as a seamstress in a factory but they fired her without any reason. She thinks it might have been because of her age.

Because the client has to maintain her granddaughter and it is nearing the end of the year when she receives more orders, she wants to invest the money to buy more material to make her products and to perform maintenance on her machines in order to improve her income and her family's quality of life.
