Zahra is a 44-year-old Lebanese married woman. She lives with her husband. They cooperate together expecting to bring added income to the family. She has worked from home as a private teacher since 2007. She also teaches at a local school. As for her husband, he has his own business and works independently.
Zahra feels that she is helping learners to get their needed education. So she asked today to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to arrange a special room in her house where she receives her students and equip it with required materials and supplies. She notes that these purchases will facilitate her work preparation and will help her do research and studies which will improve her teaching skills. She is very positive about her future and wishes to receive more students with the coming school season.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
