Houssam is a Lebanese married man. He’s 35 years old. He’s really attached to his family, which is composed of his wife and three children, all of whom school. Cooperating together, Houssam and his wife have been able to cover their heavy life expenses in order to live a respectable life. Houssam started to work in his trade at an early age. He strives to work with high professionalism to be able to support his family. He started his own business in 2010. He has been working as a car mechanic in his own garage and has gained a fair number of customers asking for his services, especially since he has many years of experience in the same occupation. Today, he’s asking for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to buy new mechanic's tools in order to respond rapidly and properly to his clients’ problems. He believes that acting properly is really essential to attract more and added customers. In the future, he plans to enlarge his business and hire people to work with him.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
