Phnov T. is 30 years old and working as a rice farmer in Kampong Cham province. She says her farm has been in her family since 1970, and she herself continues to work the same plot of land. Uch Srong, her husband, is a taxi driver bringing additional income to the family. They care for their two children through these businesses. One of her younger sisters also resides in their family home and helps support the family through working at a garment factory at $90 (US) per month. Her husband would like to have a business at home to run when he is not working his taxi. Specifically, they would like to purchase pigs to raise as another source of income. If he can make some extra money, he may someday be able to afford his own car and make more money as a taxi driver.
