Valentino, 44, is a married entrepreneur of San Roque, Panaon with 2 children and has a business raising livestock. It has run for almost 9 years now and he earns 6,000 Philippine Pesos (PHP) a month. To improve business, he is borrowing 15,000 PHP from GDMPC micro credit, which he just joined recently, to purchase livestock feed & other supplies. Before long, he's hopeful of the possibility of expanding his business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
