Kem is 34 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia.
She has been working in garment factory for more than a year, earning approximately $4 daily. Her husband runs a public transportation (motor taxi) business. He earns about $10 per day. One of her children is a garment worker as well. She earns about $3 each day.
Because the present motorcycle is old, Kem is requesting a loan of $900 to purchase a new motorcycle for her husband to run the taxi service. This purchase will help him attract more customers and earn more income for the family. In the future, she would like to purchase piglets to breed and send her children to a good school.
