Laila Fay, 32 years old, is a married entrepreneur who lives in Camansi, Sinacaban with one child.
She has run a transport service business for almost two years now and she earns 6,000 PHP a month.
To improve business, she is borrowing 15,000 PHP from GDMPC microcredit, which she just joined recently, to obtain accessories and tires. Before long, she’s hopeful of the possibility of expanding her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
