Polleak is 33 years old. He is married and has two children. He and his family live with his parents in Takeo Province, Cambodia. He has been a singer at a restaurant for more than seven years, earning approximately $10 per day. His wife is employed in a garment factory. She earns about $4 each day.
In order to improve his family’s livelihood, Polleak is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase a tuk tuk (rickshaw) to run a taxi service. This purchase will enable him to generate more income for the family.
In the future, Polleak would like to open a general store for his wife to run at home and send his children to school. Moreover, he hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
