Teddy's main source of income is his banana production business. He is 35 years old, married and has three children. He is from San Juan, Pana-on. Teddy has been in business for three years and earns PHP 3,200 a month. Recently, Teddy joined GDMPC. Teddy is requesting a loan of PHP 10,000 which will be used to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of his family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
