Manuel Augusto
Manuel is a man of 57 years of age. He lives in the city of Ica with his wife and two children, whom he loves and they are the main reason for living. He is a very friendly person, hardworking and enthusiastic, and he and his wife put all their efforts towards raising their family.

Thanks to Manuel’s efforts he was able to study Agricultural Engineering. In his free times he likes to spend a bit of time reading and sometimes his wife cooks for him the tasty dish Pachamanca [Peruvian dish baked on top of heated stones, consisting of meat and produce] in order to spoil him, as this is his favorite food.

With a lot of effort and dedication, Manuel works day by day in agriculture. He has a small plot of land where he grows cotton. Every day in the early hours of the morning he begins his field labors, working approximately eight hours, and he believes that because of his experience things are going well.

Manuel is very grateful for the Kiva loans, and thanks to the help they give he can cover the cost of maintenance, irrigation, and harvesting the cotton crops. This is why Manuel hopes to have a good harvest in order to be able to sell it at a good price, and thus continue working and striving in order to get ahead and attain his big dream of being able to expand his business soon and to have more diverse crops.

Manuel es un hombre de 57, vive en la ciudad de Ica con su esposa y sus dos hijos, a quienes ama y son principal razón en la vida, él es una persona muy amable, trabajador y entusiasta, que junto con su esposa dedican todos sus esfuerzos por sacar adelante a su familia; gracias a su esfuerzo Manuel pudo estudiar la carrera profesional de Ingeniería Agrónoma, en sus ratos libres le gusta dedicar un poco de tiempo a la lectura y en algunas ocasiones su esposa cocina una riquísima Pachamanca para engreírlo, ya que esta es su comida favorita.
Con mucho empeño y dedicación, día a día Manuel se dedica a la agricultura, él cuenta con un pequeño terreno en el cual siembra algodón, todos los días desde tempranas horas de la mañana inicia sus labores de campo, él puede trabajar un aproximado de 8 horas y cree que le va bien por su experiencia.
Manuel se encuentra muy agradecido con los prestatarios Kiva, ya que gracias a la ayuda brindada podrá cubrir los gastos de mantenimiento, riego y cosecha de su cultivo de algodón; de esta manera Manuel espera tener una buena cosecha para así poder venderla a un buen precio, así pues él seguirá trabajando y esforzándose para salir adelante y lograr su gran sueño de en poco tiempo ampliar su negocio y tener diversas cosechas.
