Neang is 40 years old. She is married and resides with four children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia.
She has been involved in growing rice and fattening up animals for more than twenty years, earning approximately $28 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $6 daily.
Neang is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase fertilizer, fuel and pesticide to use for farming. This money will help her crops grow well and provide high yields. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn Bachelor’s degrees.
