Savutha is 41 years old, married, and has four children. She lives in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. Savutha sells groceries, which she has been doing for more than seven years. She earns about $27 a day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $20 a day.
In order to improve her family’s economy, Savutha is requesting a loan for $1,500, which she will use to purchase a generator to run an additional business of arc welding. This purchase will help her generate additional income to support her family. In the future, Savutha would like to expand her business and help her children earn a higher education. She also hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
