The group DJIGUIYA is composed of six married women and two unmarried women. They average 27 years of age and have three children. They live for the most part in nuclear families in the Heremakono Nord district of Bougouni City.

They know one another through ties of community, friendship, and commerce. To bolster their financial capacity, so as to do better in business, they joined the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso and are now on their first loan. This group of women buys and sells condiments, necklaces, fine goods, and beads of all kinds.

FANTA, who is the group's president, is the first woman at the left in the photo. She intends to use her loan to purchase 2 boxes of Maggi bouillon cubes from BOUGOUNI wholesalers. Accepting cash or credit from a customer base composed essentially of women, she makes her sales retail at the market and at home.

She envisions making an average monthly profit of 25,000 francs CFA that will be invested in her business and used to repay the loan.

Le groupe DJIGUIYA est constitué de six femmes mariées et deux célibataires. Elles ont une moyenne d’âge de 27 ans et 3 enfants et vivent majoritairement dans des familles nucléaires dans le quartier Heremakono Nord de la ville de Bougouni.
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de voisinage, d’amitié et de commerce. Pour renforcer leur capacité financière afin de mieux faire leur commerce, elles adhérent à l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso avec laquelle elles sont à leur premier prêt. Ce groupe de femmes fait l’achat vente de condiments alimentaires, de colliers, de parures, de perles de toutes sortes.FANTA, qui est la présidente du groupe est la première femme de la gauche vers la droite. FANTA compte acheter avec son prêt, 2 cartons de cube maggi avec les grossistes de BOUGOUNI . Elle effectue ses ventes au marché et à domicile, en détail au comptant et à crédit à une clientèle composée essentiellement de femmes.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 25.000FCFA qui sera investi dans les activités et rembourser le prêt.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
