Hussein is a 20-year-old Lebanese man. He’s married and living with his wife, Manle, the mother of his three children who are still attending school. He is the one looking to satisfy the family needs and respond to their demands. Hussein started his own business in the year 2000. He works independently in the construction field and has more than a few projects to be accomplished.
Today, he’s asking for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase required construction equipment in addition to a new cement machine that will allow him to carry on his work properly. Hussein is sure that in a short period of time he will be able to gain great experience and move out of the country, taking bigger projects with higher earnings.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
