Eva of Poblacion, Bonifacio, helps her family through running a barber shop business. She’s a 49-year-old married mom of three kids who tries her best to earn on her own. For 16 years, she has managed this business and earns about 4,500 PHP (Philippines pesos) per month.
For the time being, she’s in need of buying scissors, combs and items to use in her business. She joined GDMPC in 2011 and thanks GDMPC microfinance for the loan of 5,000 PHP they provided to her. Eva desires to improve her business in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
