Raul Alberto
Raúl, 20, is a single man living in the city of Ica in Santiago District with his parents and siblings. He’s a very kind, hardworking, enthusiastic person with a strong drive towards self-improvement. Unfortunately, due to the lack of economic resources and the need to start working when he was still very young to help out his parents, he’s been unable to study Computer Programming like he wanted to but would still like to do so very much. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer with his friends and on some occasions his mother cooks a delicious “Arroz con Mariscos” (Rice with Seafood) to pamper him since this is his favorite dish.

On his own initiative and with much effort and dedication, Raúl works as a field worker at a large agricultural estate in his city. He heads out to work every day very early in the morning and can work approximately ten hours. He believes he does well because of the good way he does his job and the kind way he treats others.

Raúl is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to their support he will be able to do some home improvements because thanks to his parents’ support Raúl has a small bedroom they’ve given him so that he can live in it. Raúl wants to install the concrete floor it needs to have more security and wellbeing and Raúl will continue working and striving so that together with his family he’ll be able to get ahead.

Today, it also offers credit for consumers, microenterprises and housing improvements, and has expanded its financial services to promote micro-savings and provide micro-insurance. About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
