María Aurentina
In the canton of Rocafuerte the members of the communal bank Mujeres Organizadas meet twice a month. This place is known for its delicious sweets that the local people prepare and they are known throughout the country.

María lives here. She is 65 years old, married and has eight children from this relationship, all adults but two of them still live with her. Her husband is a farmer.

María works in commerce in order to help pay the household expenses. She has a little store in her home, selling all types of food, garden produce, vegetables and fruits, plus some bazaar and stationery items. She works every day from 6:00AM until 8:00PM and sometimes later. Her children help with the work when they can. She has had the business more than eight years and she is very happy there and feels useful in this activity that gives her good earnings without leaving her home.

This loan will be used to buy provisions to supply her store. She has been with the communal bank since it began more than seven years ago and she likes it because with the loans she has been able to improve her business and her economic situation.

Her goals are to continue getting ahead in her business and expanding her store.

En el cantón Rocafuerte se reúnen cada quince días las socias del Banco Comunal Mujeres Organizadas. Este lugar se lo conoce por sus deliciosos dulces que preparan los lugareños y que son reconocidos en todo el país.

En este lugar vive la señora María, tiene 65 años de edad, está casada y de esta relación tienen ocho hijos los mismos que ya son mayores de edad pero dos de ellos aun vive con ella. Su esposo es agricultor.

Doña María para ayudar a solventar los gastos del hogar se dedica al comercio, tiene una pequeña tienda en su casa, allí vende todo tipo de víveres, legumbres, verduras y frutas, además de ciertas cosas de bazar y papelería, trabaja todos los días desde las 6h00 hasta las 20h00 y a veces hasta más tarde, sus hijos le ayuda en su trabajo cuando ellos pueden, lleva más de 8 años con su negocio y está muy contenta ya que allí se siente útil realizando una actividad que le deja muy buenos beneficios sin salir de su casa.

Este crédito lo va a emplear en la compra de víveres para surtir más su tienda. Está en el Banco Comunal desde el inicio hace más de 7 años y le gusta porque con los créditos ha podido mejorar su negocio y su situación económica.

Sus metas son seguir adelante en su negocio y que su tienda crezca.
