Fatuma is 38 years old, married, and and has five children. She lives in Msambweni, Kenya. Fatuma has her own business with which she is able to support her family. She has a grocery store where she sells everyday consumer products such as sugar, rice, soap, milk, sodas, condiments, flour, cleaning products, and other items. She has had her store for five years.
Fatuma is requesting her fourth loan for 25,000 KES, which she will use to restock her store with food products. This will improve her sales and her earnings. Her goals are to expand her business so that she can help her children with their studies and to have a better standard of living.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
