Joel is a married man, 61 years old, blessed with seven children between 32 and 22 years old.
He owns a retail shop in Kapsabet, mostly dealing with industrial goods. It has been in operation for a period of 10 years, giving him a monthly income of KES 10,000.
He is now servicing a loan of KES 50,000 from KADET Ltd. This is his second loan cycle after repaying the previous one successfully. He hopes to purchase five bags of sugar, four bags of rice and 10 cartons of cooking fat for sale.
The anticipated profit will be used to educate his children. He dreams of starting a posho mill business in the same location.
