In this Group: Florencia , Liliana , Cecilia , Jorge, Gregoria , Agustina , Elodia , Gabriela, Lucrecia
In the community of Corrales, there is a group that calls itself El Lindero because it holds its meetings on a ranch with that name. The ranch is beside the road just five minutes from the village. The group has nine members, each of whom earns a living with a different economic activity:
Florencia sells poultry.
Liliana sells clothing.
Cecilia sells perfumes.
Jorge sells fruits and vegetables.
Gregoria sells soft drinks.
Agustina sells cosmetics.
Elodia sells snacks.
Gabriela sells shoes.
Lucrecia sells clothing.
Jorge is one of the members of this group. He tells us that he works as an agricultural worker but a little over a year ago decided to start his own business since he wasn't making enough money to support his family. He wants to give his family a better life and pay for his children's schooling, so he started thinking about what business was lacking in his community that would make a profit and that his wife and children could help him run. After a lot of thinking, he decided to open a small stand in his home to sell fruits and vegetables. He is very happy because his business is doing well and gradually expanding. He also buys bream at a lake near his village and sells it in nearby villages when there's no work in the fields. Jorge is a hardworking man who wants to give his children a better quality of life and see them continue their studies.
