Phuong, 37 years old, is married with three school-aged children. Phuong is in the construction business in mobile places as the family’s main source of income. Phuong untiringly earns income because he is determined to uplift his family out of poverty and educate all of his children. Phuong is proud of his wife who is very supportive in raising the family. She has a position in a local garment factory of Kompong Speu province.
Phuong has encountered difficulties due to the lack of a vehicle for commuting, especially to his workplaces. For this reason, he is now asking for a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase a motorcycle for traveling to construction sites. Also, Phuong plans to use it as a transportation business in his community during his unemployed periods. This will help better his income and develop his business gradually. In the future, Phuong would like to keep growing as an entrepreneur and save money for family emergencies.
