Loan was born in 1972. She has two children who are learning at high school and university. Her husband collects scrap metal and gets 4,500,000 VND. Loan makes tofu to earn a living. Her income is about 3,000,000 VND. Her family’s total earnings are about 7,500,000 VND per month.
Loan has participated in SEDA's credit program since 2009. In the last cycle she borrowed 5,152,000 VND and repaid the loan on time. In this loan cycle, she would like to borrow 5,152,000 VND to buy chicken breeds and feed for raising them. She always wants to earn more money for her family’s income and to be able to let her children have good careers.
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
