The community bank Bankito La Y meets every 15 days at San Jacinto beach in Sucre Canton. The area is known for its beautiful beaches which are visited by domestic and foreign tourists alike. It has many beautiful spots and a delicious variety of cuisine typical to the region.

This is where Patricia lives. She is 26 years old, married and has two children ages 8 and 4, who are in school. Her husband is a driver.

To help her husband with household expenses, Patricia has a business selling clothing, shoes and sandals. She sells door to door and also from her home. Her best clients come to her home and make large orders from her because they know she always offers good, quality merchandise and the latest fashions. Patricia works 3 or 4 days a week and whenever she has free time. She offers credit and charges her customers every 15 days. She goes to Guayaquil to buy merchandise whenever she needs it. She has been running her business for 2 years and it has been going well.

Patricia will use the current loan to buy all types of clothes and shoes. She has been a member of the community bank for 2 years and she likes it because her first loan allowed her to start her business. Her dream is to own her own home because she currently lives in a rental.

En la playa de San Jacinto en el Cantón Sucre cada quince días se reúne el Banco Comunal Bankito La Y. Este lugar es conocido por sus hermosas playas que son visitadas por muchos turistas nacionales y extranjeros, ofrece diversidad de lugares hermosos y una rica variedad de platos típicos de la región.

En este lugar vive la señora Patricia, tiene 26 años de edad, está casada y de esta relación tienen dos hijos de 8 y 4 años que estudian en escuela. Su esposo es chofer.

Doña Patricia para ayudar a su esposo con los gastos del hogar se dedica a la venta de ropa de todo tipo, zapatos y sandalias, su forma de venta es puerta a puerta y también vende en su casa hasta donde llegan sus clientes más conocidos, los mismos que le realizan muchos pedidos ya que ella trae mercadería de muy buena calidad y en modelos novedosos. Trabaja de tres a cuatro días por semana y en los momentos que está desocupada, deja a crédito y cobra cada quince días. Su mercadería la va a comprar a Guayaquil cada vez que necesita. Tiene dos años que se dedica a esta actividad y le va muy bien.

Este crédito lo va emplear en comprar zapatos y ropa de todo tipo. Está en el Banco Comunal desde hace 2 años y le gusta porque con el primer crédito empezó su negocio.

Su sueño es tener su casa propia ya que donde vive es arrendado.
