En la playa de San Jacinto en el Cantón Sucre cada quince días se reúne el Banco Comunal Bankito La Y. Este lugar es conocido por sus hermosas playas que son visitadas por muchos turistas nacionales y extranjeros, ofrece diversidad de lugares hermosos y una rica variedad de platos típicos de la región.

Aquí vive la señora María, tiene 41 años de edad, es madre soltera de una hija de 16 años que estudian en colegio. Ella vive sola con su hija. Lleva tres ciclos en el Banco Comunal y le gusta porque los créditos le son de gran ayuda.

Doña María es una muy buena madre que para obtener sus propios recursos y con esto sacar adelante a su hija se dedica a la venta de mariscos, todos los días en las mañanas ella se desplaza hasta las playas del lugar a esperar que lleguen los pescadores para comprarles los productos del mar para luego venderlos a los distintos comerciantes que llegan al lugar para llevarlos a otras ciudades, lleva más de cinco años que se dedica a esta actividad y gracias a esto está sacando adelante sola a su hija.
