“Las Estrellitas” (flat) group is nine women each with her own economic activity aimed at earning income of her own to provide their families with better quality of life. They are: Maricela who sells crafts, Isabel who sells tacos, María who sells fast-food snacks, Zuleyma who sells lingerie, Maribel who sells fast-food snacks, Verónica who sells fast-food snacks, Reyna who sells food and Bernardita who sells bread. They are from a community called Las Limas whose residents work growing sugarcane and collecting sap from rubber trees.

Maricela relates that she works making knitted crafts like blouses, shoes, mats, dresses, shawls and baby clothes and embroidered napkins. She does her work on order and since she’s been doing it for several years she doesn’t have to leave her house to sell because customers come to her to place their orders. She said that she learned to make crafts because her parents were unable to pay for more schooling for her so she learned an occupation that would help her get ahead in the future.

She will use the loan to buy thread, knitting needles, needles, fabric, soles and ribbons to continue making her crafts. She wants to use her profits to buy more materials to continue in her activity and gradually make home improvements.

Las Estrellitas(flat)es un grupo integrado por 9 mujeres cada una de ellas realiza una actividad economica con la finalidad de ganar su propio dinero para dar a sus familias mejor calidad de vida, ella son: Maricela venta de manualidades, Isabel venta de tacos, Maria venta de antojitos, Zuleyma venta de lencería,Maribel venta de antojitos, Verónica venta de antojitos, Reyna venta de comida y Bernardita venta de pan, este grupo esta ubicado en una comunidad llamada Las Limas y su gente se dedica al cultivo de caña y recolección de la resina de los arboles de hule.


Maricela Platica que se dedica a la elaboración de manualidades como lo son blusas, zapatos, carpetas, vestidos, mantillas, ropita de bebe tejidas y servilletas bordadas, ella realiza sus trabajos por pedidos y como ya tiene varios años realizando esta actividad sin salir a ofrecer la gente llega a su casa ha hacerle pedidos. Ella dijo que aprendió a realizar manualidades porque sus padres no pudieron pagarle mas sus estudios así que aprendió un oficio que en el futuro la ayudara a salir adelante.
Ella invertirá este crédito en la compra de hilos, ganchos, agujas, telas, zuelas, listones para continuar elaborando sus manualidades.
