In the middle of the Amazonian jungle west of Pastaza Province and 924 meters above sea level is the city of Puyo, the capital of this province. After her divorce, Yesenia decided to start selling casual clothes in order to get ahead and start to generate her own income. This need motivated her to bring forth the enterprising woman she had inside her and her desire for self-improvement cannot be kept hidden.

Her mother has always sold shoes and she inherited this experience from her in order to do this activity. She spends at least five hours daily offering seasonal and customer preferred clothes. Yesenia qualifies for considerable discounts when she buys at wholesale and she believes that It’s necessary to be well-stocked with clothes to meet the various tastes of her customers which is why she’s asked Fundación Alternativa for a loan; they supported her business and also offered to train her so that she can manage her business responsibly.

En medio de la selva amazónica al occidente de la provincia de Pastaza y a 924 m. sobre el nivel del mar se encuentra la ciudad del Puyo capital de esta provincia, que es demográficamente pequeña pero tiene una gran variedad de sitios que son los preferidos para turistas nacionales e internacionales sobre todo los de actividades ecológicas y de deportes extremos. En esta ciudad que crece económicamente cada día por las actividades de comercio, ganadería, agricultura y turismo; se encuentra Yesenia, una mujer de 26 años divorciada con un hijo.
Yesenia, tras su divorcio decidió emprender en la venta de ropa casual para salir adelante y comenzar a generar sus propios ingresos. Esta necesidad le motivó a sacar a la mujer emprendedora que lleva dentro y su deseo de superarse es inocultable. Su madre siempre se ha dedicado a la venta de calzado y heredó de ella la experiencia para realizar esta actividad. Invierte al menos 5 horas cada día para ofrecer a sus clientes la ropa de acuerdo a la temporada y a los gustos de las personas. Yesenia recibe descuentos considerables cuando compra al por mayor y además piensa que es necesario tener surtido de ropa para satisfacer los diferentes gustos de sus clientes, por lo cual ha solicitado un crédito en Fundación Alternativa quienes le apoyaron en su negocio y además le ofrecieron capacitarla para que lleve a cabo su negocio con responsabilidad.
