This is a woman who has a strong desire to get ahead. She lives in a town that has a lot of societal violence, and she hopes to change this reality for her children in the near future so that they will not suffer from the impact of crime. To do this, she gets up every day to provide the best for them. She is well-known in her neighborhood for her humility and her dedication to her work. She never gives up, and always forges ahead in spite of the difficulties she faces. Due to her effort and dedication, she has a store where she sells consumer staples such as grains and other basic foods, milk, eggs, rice, among others. She is very dedicated to her work, and very helpful to her customers when she is selling. This is why she has customers who seek out her business and prefer her products.

She has seen the need to stock up her store because of an increase in demand, and she lacks the capital to do this. Therefore, she approached INTEGRAL to request a loan to buy products such as grains and basic products, instant products such as soups and drink mixes, snacks, drinks, etc. She trusts in God that the help that she has requested will soon be granted, and that she will not have to worry anymore about providing for the daily needs of her household.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.

Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.
