José Josué
Jose is a young man, 23 years old, and is single. He lives with his parents and three siblings in Sololá. He is hardworking and wants to continue helping his family improve their living conditions. He grows vegetables like potatoes, carrots, onion and beans on a parcel of land that his family has a few kilometers from their home.

Many years ago he learned to work in the field of agriculture - it is the first thing his father taught him. Thanks to the efforts of his parents he was able to go to school and finish his education. He used to help his father in the fields for half they day and study the other half. Upon finishing school he saw that unemployment in his community was decreasing all the time, and he decided 6 years ago to begin growing vegetables on various pieces of land that his father has, in order to support his family financially.

This is the best season for harvesting vegetables and getting good prices in the local market. Now he asks for a loan of 6,000 Quetzales to buy potato and carrot seeds and fertilizers that he will be using to expand his crop and get better profits. His greatest dream is to build a house and get another parcel of land, because in the future he will be forming his own family.
