She is a person of integrity, humility, honesty and sincerity. These qualities describe this woman that hopes to start her life over due to the environment in which she lives with her household filled with social violence and economic needs. Her family is her greatest treasure and her inspiration to improve things everyday. She has sold clothing and accessories for five years by traveling to make her sales.

Given that she is now in the last three months of the years, which she has learned is when her apparel is normally at its highest demand, she needs to increase her inventory and buy a variety of clothing. It is for this reason that she approached Integral to request a loan to be able to buy more clothing and merchandise including blouses, jackets, pants, shirts, wallets, belt and other items. She has good payment references and has always been a very responsible woman with her debts. She thanks God because she is sure that she will receive help and soon be able to pay it back.

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.

Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.
