She’s a very enterprising woman whose main wish is to provide her family with a better future; she wants to find new horizons and forget the crime she’s a victim of in the zone she lives in. She has a family group she strives for every day. She’s very hardworking and for the last five years has been selling honey. She feels proud because she’s gotten good results. She has a large clientele in a place she identified as being good for developing her activity. She’s able to provide daily bread for her family by means of this income. Her wish is to earn higher profits so that in future she will be able to give all the best to her children who so admire her for her dedication to work.

She is convinced that if she were to increase her merchandise her sales and her profits would increase too which is why she’s approached Integral to request a loan to buy honey at wholesale. She is grateful for the collaboration she’ll get and trusts in God that He’ll never abandon her so that she will not be influenced by bad relationships and she will always be busy doing good works like these to better watch over her family and be an example to others of self-improvement.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.

Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.

About Apoyo Integral

Apoyo Integral (Apoyo) is a nonprofit organization offering financial products that enable clients to increase their working capital, purchase fixed assets, buy and remodel homes, expand agricultural business and more. The organization’s target group is businessmen and women who have already established their businesses but need financial support to strengthen or expand them.
