Jose Efrain

He produces plantain, as well as palm fruit, which is used to extract vegetable oil. He sells his plantain in the local markets, and sells the palm fruit to the collection centers in the area.

The loan he is applying for is his fifth, and he will use it to buy fertilizers and agricultural supplies, in order to maintain and assist his crops. His aim is to improve the growth of his plantation and increase output.

His goal is to expand his palm cultivation, so that he can earn greater income and improve his quality of life.

Don Jose tiene 68 años de edad, vive en una aldea que pertenece a Baracoa, Cortes junto a su esposa y sus tres hijos. El señor Jose en toda su vida ha sido agricultor, tiene aproximadamente 35 años de dedicarse a los cultivos de plátano y cultivo de palma africana. La producción es de plátano y fruta de palma que sirve para sacar el aceite vegetal. La producción de plátano la vende en los mercados locales y la fruta de palma la vende en los centros de acopio de la zona. El préstamo que solicita es el quinto ciclo y lo invertirá en la compra de fertilizantes e insumos para darle mantenimiento y asistencia a sus cultivos con el fin de mejorar el desarrollo de la plantación y aumentar la producción. Tiene como meta ampliar sus cultivos de palma para obtener mayores ingresos y mejorar su calidad de vida.
