Esther, 40, is a hard-working mother of five who has been managing her food business for the past three years. She lives at Compound #3 with her husband and children, who are between the ages of 4 and 25. Two of the children stay with her at home and are in school while the other three live outside the home and are independent. Esther sells palm oil and rice in the community market. She makes a profit when she sells. With the profit generated from the business, she buys more goods and attends to the needs of her children. She is requesting a loan to purchase more palm oil and bags of rice to sell retail. Her plan for the future is to give her children a better education.
