Kuasha, age 27, is single and lives in a rental house in the town of Msambweni. Through his own effort he has managed to establish a small store in his house. He sells beans, rice, eggs, flour, soft drinks, cookies, sugar, etc. He also does farming where he plants various crops like pawpaw and bananas.
He has requested a loan for 30,000 KES in order to stock the business. He will buy a greater quantity of merchandise and basic food products.
Kuasha hopes to own a bigger shop in future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
