Dioscora of Panduma, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur has been raising pigs for more than six years and earns 7,915 per month. She’s 33 years old now and continues to hang on with her pig-raising livelihood to provide an adequate life for her four children.
She is a new member of GDMPC. In order to enhance her livestock for selling, she is borrowing the amount of 10,000 from GDMPC Microcredit to purchase feeding supplies. Dioscora hopes that someday, her children will be successful in their careers.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
