Elizabeth Eladia
Elizabeth is a 32-year-old woman who lives in the city of Ica with her two small sons, whom she loves and who are her main reason for living. Unfortunately, Elizabeth is, for various reasons, a single mother. She is a very happy, hard-working and enthusiastic person who dedicates all her efforts towards helping her family to get ahead. Thanks to her efforts, Elizabeth was able to take some courses towards a degree in gastronomy; unfortunately, she was unable to finish her studies, although she dreams of being able to do so. In her spare time she likes to cook and she sometimes cooks a delicious Arroz con Pollo (rice with chicken) to share with her family.

With a lot of determination and dedication, Elizabeth set up a small business where she sells tejas and chocotejas (traditional sweets from Ica). Every day, from the early hours of the morning, she begins her work, going all around the streets of her city in search of customers. She can serve approximately thirty customers each day and thinks her business is going well because of her determination and the kind treatment she shows to others.

Elizabeth is very grateful to Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help given she will be able to purchase a small kitchen, which will be of much use to her for preparing her sweets and which will allow her to continue with her business; in this manner Elizabeth hopes to continue working in order to be able to expand her business and attain her dream of seeing her sons become professionals and fine, upstanding men.
