Sonia is a 53-year-old married woman from Maribojoc, Bohol. She has three children ages twenty-six, twenty-two, and twenty years old, respectively. She has been in the food vending business for fifteen years. She sells chicken barbecue and siopao, which is the Filipino version of a steamed bun (dough filled with a savory meat and cooked by steam). She plans to use the loan to buy additional ingredients for siopao (flour, soy sauce, ground pork) and for chicken barbecue (chicken, soy sauce, ketchup). In the future, Sonia would like to expand her business to be successful in order to support her family.
