She lives in the city of Cuenca’s Racar sector, a place where the beauty of nature can be enjoyed. Its residents are very hardworking and for the most part work manufacturing bricks and roof tiles. They also work in agriculture and raise animals. Some have jobs in the city. They still preserve the culture and traditions of their peoples.

Marlene is 32-years-old and the single mother of a 10-year-old son who is attending a local elementary school. She does not own a house so lives with her mother sharing household expenses. She works in a factory where jeans are manufactured; she learned this activity by doing it. She works from Monday through Friday from 8am until 5pm. She works weekends selling various brands of cosmetics.

She will use her loan to buy cosmetics to increase the variety of her merchandise. Her goal is to own a house.

La Señora. Marlene se encuentra realizando su primer crédito en el banco comunal Futuro para un Bienestar, fue imvitada por una vecina quien forma parte del grupo hace algún tiempo, vive por el sector de Racar en la ciudad de Cuenca, Racar es un lugar en donde se puede admirar la belleza de la naturaleza, su gente es trabajadora, se dedican en su mayor parte a la elaboración de ladrillos y tejas, también laboran en la agricultura y cría de animales, algunos trabajan en la ciudad ejerciendo diferentes actividades económicas. Aun mantienen su cultura y tradiciones.

Doña Marlene tiene 32 años, es madre soltera de un niño de 10 años de edad que está estudiando en una escuelita de la ciudad. No tiene casa propia por lo que vive en casa de su madre con quien comparte los gastos del hogar.

Ella trabaja en una fábrica en donde elaboran jeans, esta actividad la ha aprendido trabajando, labora de lunes a viernes desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 5 de la tarde. Los fines de semana trabaja vendiendo cosméticos de varias marcas.

Su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de cosméticos para agrandar la variedad de su mercadería.

Su meta es tener su casa propia.
