The La Estancia community bank is made up of seven women who are friends and neighbors. They live in the outskirts of the Paute canton, where there is a mild climate, there is fertile land where they plant a large variety of fruits and the most beautiful flowers. The people work in commerce, agriculture, and raising animals. They are kind people who always have a smile for visitors. The cuisine is varied and they maintain the culture and traditions of their people.

One of the members of the group is Carmita. She has been a member for a year and a half. She lives in the community of Rumihurco in the canton of Paute. She is a single mother of a five year old who is studying in a small school in their town. She lives in her mother's house and they share all of the household expenses.

Carmita stays at home doing housework but in order to have financial independence, she works raising guinea pigs and chickens which she sells in her community either live or plucked.

She will invest her new loan in the purchase of guinea pigs so that she can increase her breeding of those animals.

Her goal is to give her son a good education.

El banco comunal La Estancia está formado por 7 mujeres quienes son amigas y vecinas, viven por los alrededores del Cantón Paute, lugar que es privilegiado por su clima templado, sus tierras son fértiles en donde se cosecha una gran variedad de frutas y también se cultivan las más hermosas flores. Su gente se dedica al comercio, a la agricultura y a la crianza de animales, son personas amables que siempre brindan una sonrisa a sus visitantes, su gastronomía es variada, aun mantienen la cultura y tradiciones de sus pueblos.

Una de las socias de este grupo es la Señora. Carmita, es socia del banco comunal la Estancia hace un año y medio, vive por la comunidad de Rumihurco en el cantón de Paute. Ella es madre soltera de un niño de 5 años de edad que está estudiando en una escuelita de la localidad. Vive en la casa de su madre y comparten todos los gastos del hogar.

La Señora. Carmita pasa en casa dedicándose a los quehaceres del hogar pero para poder tener independencia económica se dedica a la crianza de cuyes y pollos, a los que los vende en pie o pelados, estos animalitos los vende en su comunidad.

Su nuevo crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de cuyes y así incrementar la crianza de estos animalitos.

Su meta es darle a su hijo una buena educación.
