Rashid, who is a businessman living in Malindi, benefited greatly from the last loan he received. He bought charger components, rolls of aerial cables and assorted electrical cables. He is single and his business has been running for three years. He is also employed as a clerk. Rashid is now applying for a loan of 31,450 Kenyan shillings to purchase additional stock of mobile phones, chargers, bulbs and torches. He believes the extra income will help him save enough to start a family next year.
