Donah Tusiime`s Group
In this Group: Donah, Zaina, Zula, Nusifa, Mariam
Dona is the leader of 5 members. She is aged 25 and married with 1 child who goes to school. He is 5 years old. She is servicing her first loan. She resides in a slum area, which is vulnerable to flooding when it rains.

She sells cosmetics in one of the taxi parks in the city center of Kampala. She has done this for 2 years.

The main challenges include the effects of weather on her and on what she sells, although she does it under an umbrella. Some of the cosmetics react with the heat and they become poisonous. Some of them look like old stock after a short time and clients reject them. The taxes levied by the authorities push the high prices yet higher. She would like to move to a shop.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
