Nawale is a 55-year-old Lebanese woman who lives with her husband and three children. Two of them are working and the other is still attending school. With the cooperation of her husband, she is able to satisfy her family needs and offer them a fair way of living. She owns a mini market where she sells all kinds of daily items, soft drinks and many other products. As for her husband, he started working in the agriculture field 14 years ago. Nawale is asking for a loan from Kiva Partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase the necessary food provisions for her mini market. In that way she will be able to diversify her items, increase her revenues and improve her family’s way of living. One of her greatest dreams is to educate her youngest child and see the others achieve great positions.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
