The four members of the group DIYABOUGOU are married women who average 27 years of age and five children each, and who live mostly in monogamous families in SANOUBOUGOU I, a working-class district of the city of Sikasso. They are seeking a third loan with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso to meet the needs of their customers.

Mrs. ASSETOU sells pagnes (colorful west-African cloth). She is the one standing third from the right. She will use her loan to buy 15 pagnes from wholesalers to sell at retail, for cash, on location and at the market, to a clientele consisting mainly of women.

She expects to earn an average monthly profit of 25,000FCFA, part of which she will use to repay her loan and interest, and the remainder to be added to her savings.

Elle compte acheter avec mon prêt 15 pièces de pagnes auprès des grossistes qu’elle revend en détail sur place et au marché à une clientèle composée en majeur partie de femmes au comptant.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 25.000FCFA dont une partie est utilisée pour payer le prêt et son interêt et l’autre qui servira d’épargne .

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
