Luong was born in 1971. She has three children. Her little child is learning in kindergarten. Her oldest child is studying at college. Her husband sells beer for a living. Luong sells cosmetic and grocery goods for a living. She gains 3,000,000 VND a month from her business. Her family’s total earnings are about 6,000,000 VND per month.
She has participated in SEDA's credit program since 2007. In the last cycle she borrowed 9,632,000 VND and repaid the loan on time. In this loan cycle, she would like to borrow 9,632,000 VND to buy more cosmetics for her store. Her dream is to enable her children to go to school up through higher education and to upgrade her cosmetic store.
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
