Cerila, who is 46 years old, is a married entrepreneur of Poblacion 4, Clarin, with five children.
She has a transport service business. It started almost two years ago, and she now earns PHP 6,000 a month.
To improve business, she is borrowing PHP 20,500 from GDMPC micro-credit, which she just joined last 2011, to obtain accessories and tires.
Before long, she’s hopeful of the possibility of expanding her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
