Helena, 25, stopped her education in the 4th grade. She is married with two children, aged three and seven, both of whom are attending school. Her husband is a mechanic, and he gave her the initial capital to start in this business. She has been selling toothpaste, sardines, hair grease, biscuits, tissue, milk, and many other items for the past fifteen years.
She is proud of her business because she makes a profit every day. With the profit, she buys goods, and repays her loan. She has requested another loan from BRAC Liberia to purchase more toothpaste, hair grease, milk and biscuits for the business. Her plan for the future is to give her children a better education and build a house.
