Sonia de 45 años vive en el municipio de Soledad, área metropolitana de la ciudad de Barranquilla, donde se dedica a la venta de pasabocas y en general productos derivadas de la harina de trigo que empaca en bandejas de icopor cubiertas con plástico. Ella también vende refrescos congelados y produce hielo, que comercializa entre sus principales clientes comerciantes, ubicados en el sector donde habita y en barrios aledaños. Su meta es alcanzar un mayor nivel de ingresos familiar, pues sueña con que hija de 13 años tenga una educación de calidad que le ayude a ser muy exitosa. En la actualidad está aplicando a un credikiva, primer financiamiento que hace a la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, con el cual comprará un congelador vertical, que le proveerá la higiene y conservación requerida para sus productos congelados y para su materia prima y con ello aumentará sus ventas, para escalar su camino hacia el crecimiento de sus ingresos y el aumento de su bienestar familiar
