Youssef is a 45-year-old man. He’s married to Amina, a wonderful lady and the mother of three working children. Since their marriage, Youssef used to work under pressure, trying his best to bring added income to the family and enrich their life.
Youssef has been working as a blacksmith since a few years ago. He owns a shop where he manufactures different types of metal upon request. He learned this profession through experience and doing the best he can to better improve and develop himself. As he wants to enlarge his business and grow his work as well, he decided to take a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase the needed metal supplies to carry on his work in a proper way. He wishes to take more and bigger projects to amplify his income and be able to make the needed savings for his future life plans.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
