Mohammad is a 53-year-old, married Lebanese man. He lives with his wife and three children; two of them are working and the other is still studying. They are all cooperating together wishing to enhance their life and bring added income to the family.
Mohammad owns a small mini-market in his town. He has clients from his town and all over the neighboring villages. He’s well known for being kind and friendly with his clients even though they are visiting him for the first time. Today, he’s asking for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase the needed quantity of food provisions for his mini-market. In that way he will be able to diversify his items, therefore increase his sales and thus respond rapidly to his client’s demands whatever they are. One of Mohammad’s greatest dreams is to offer his children a great life and see them achieving higher positions.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
