Ali is a 41-year-old Lebanese man. He's married and living with his wife and four children. They are all attending school. He's trying the best he can to enhance the family's way of living.
He started working as a blacksmith few years ago and is doing the best he can to better improve and develop himself. As he wants to enlarge his business and grow in his occupation as well, Ali decided to take a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase an electrical generator to carry on his work in a proper way. He wishes to take bigger projects and offer his children whatever they ask for; that is the reason of why he's in a real need to amplify his income in order to be able to make the needed savings and achieve his goals.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
